Cinderella's Golden Carousel at the end of Disney World?

I learned from a source once the carousel is closed under the expansion of Fantasyland. Has anyone heard of this anywhere else?

I have not heard of the closure of the carousel good. However, Fantasyland is expanding, so possible that the route can be temporarily during construction. Disney does not do a classic route that way.
