what is the best hotel near disney world?
which hotel near disney world is the best concerning price, value and quality? I have a family of 3 kids and I need something modest but at a good price and near Disney World parks.
Stay at DW with a family of 5 for $80 a night?? HaHaHaHaHa. Maybe in a dumpster. You will be lucky to get something you halfway want for less than $350 a night. DW is so NOT family friendly with their hotels for larger families. They have VERY limited options for families of more than 4 people, and due to fire codes, they can not make exceptions to maximum number of people per room. I have a family of 5, and have been trying to figure out how to go and stay there for 3 years now. I have given up. Other than the value/budget options, which are WAY too small for a family of 5, (their idea of the 5th bed is to stick your youngest in a drawer under your double bed) You would have to book 2 rooms together - and pay twice as much. You can easily push $1,000 a night for a family of 5.
We have (finally) booked our DW vacation for June/2011, and are staying at the Marriott Village at Lake Buena Vista - 1 mile from the Magic Kingdom, right outside the main entrance. $125 a night for a suite that has 2 queen beds, and a queen pull out sofa - kitchen - living room. 400 sq ft. Very large, with LOTS of annemenities you don't get at the DW value resorts. Good reviews on the internet also from other past families who have stayed there.
