My husband and I just recently moved into our first home . Of course our friends had to throw as a housewarming party, surprise! We were very touched. This may come across wrong but the whole event did leave me with a different impressions about some of my friends . We ended up with more than one gift card at a home improvement store.

These were much appreciated and will be handy for the items we will undoubtedly need for our new home . We also got a smattering of cute knick knack type items. The most unexpected gift we received was personalized housewarming gifts. A set of personalized poker sets. We often have poker parties with this same group of friends, now they will be held in our new home when it is our turn. This gift was something that we will all enjoy. It was the perfect addition.

My husband and I were really quite surprised by the person that gave it to us . The gift was obviously well thought out and had been purchased ahead of time . This person is generally not someone who plans much of anything ahead of time . The personalized gift, just for our new home, has been something we have already begun to cherish. Because of this personalized gift choice from our friend it has forever changed the way we shop for others .

Gift cards are great but they really did come across as a gift that our friends picked up while grabbing other errands at the store. Especially in the light of gift that appeared to have so much thought put into it. I will never look at getting friends a gift the same way again.

I realized that I can find items that will mean more to those that I love. I also know that as someone who loves internet shopping, I can do a better job!
