Could we win a costume contest if 7 yr son up as an AU tigger & 3 yr girl up as an AL Elephant? Need to win!?
I want my kids to win this contest there is Cute, Funniest, Scariest, and Most Creative categories. Got any suggestions on what i should do?
ive never seen a costume win that was bought out of a bag (and or didnt take a LOT of effort)
i love the bride of franenstein idea..
i think one of the keys is to put a kid in something you wouldnt normally see on a kid (and i dont mean something slutty) or take a generic idea and go crazy with it. my mom made my costumes every year i qualified for the school contests and i won every year.. (rather she did lol) shed take normal costumes and add things like glitter, feather boas, christmas garland, things like that.. (fairie, unicorn, devil, mermaid, angel K-4 respectively)
i saw a kid once dressed like a bag of groceries i thought that was very clever..
for your daughter id would go with a farie, or maybe mother nature? or some kind of theme like that.. theres a lot you could to outshine the other costumes...
for your son.. like superheroes or pirates, that might get looked over.. see what ideas he has.. you may get some points if the judges see that he made or helped to make his own costume...
